While on a walk (due to the snowstorm, it was not a run 😂) I started paying attention to the snowflakes that were falling. I was blown away by how detailed and unique they each were. Have you ever looked closely at one before? They’re beautiful! So full of detail and each one an original. Much like us, we are created by the same Creator, each unique and full of detail. And not only that, but I was also amazed that these small little snowflakes created the close to 1 foot of snow that blanketed the ground. These tiny snowflakes, when connected together, created something even more breathtaking. God not only created us to be unique, but He created us to be in community. We need people around us to challenge each other, encourage us when we’re down, and support each other in the good and bad times. God uses each of us in unique ways, and because of that, we each bring something special to our community. Think of what He can do when a group of believers lock arms and use their own giftings for His glory. I’m imagining something far more beautiful than a foot of snow! How has God gifted you and how can you use those talents with the people around you?
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
