Recently on a run, I passed two different sets of ducks. One set was babies, the other teenagers. There were a few adults in both sets, making sure to guide the little ones, and as I passed by, shuffled them across the road to get out of any danger I might pose. As I was thinking about these ducks, I was reminded that through every season of life, no matter how old we are, it’s so important to have people around us. People who are older than us, that we can learn from, and people who are younger that we can be pouring into (and my guess is you’ll learn from them as well!). We were created for community and life is just so much better together! Are you missing either of these in your life? Look around and ask God to bring you someone you can mentor, and someone who can be pouring into your life as well.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” -Proverbs 27:17
