Fulfilling Our Purpose

For the past 8 years when I go to Texas for Christmas, I run by a neighborhood that has been under construction with houses and shopping centers. The majority of these houses and buildings have been sitting empty for years  just waiting for someone to move in so it can fulfill the purpose for which it was created.

Our lives also have a greater purpose. God created us to be in relationship with Him, and just like the buildings, we are left empty, waiting to fullfill our true purpose until we step into a relationship with Him. And being the loving Father He is, this relationship is not forced, it’s a choice given to us. If we do decide to step into a relationship with Him, we are given the Holy Spirit. Our body then becomes His home and a personal relationship is now available. He begins to transform us into the person He created us to be. The missing piece completed. A home no longer empty, but filled with a personal touch.

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” -Romans 10:9

”Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.“ -Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬ ‭
